A number of opportunities are offered for parents to receive information about our College. Early each year, the Principal and students from St Monica’s visit Catholic Primary Schools in the Cairns region to speak to Year 5 students. Before the visit, letters are sent to parents inviting them to these presentations.

An Open Day is held during the year when parents and students are invited to the College to receive information and to participate in tours of the College. Check this page for the latest news on the next upcoming open day.

The Enrolments Officer will make contact with you once the application has been received.

Closing date for applications for Year 6 Students wishing to enrol for Year 7 of the following year is by the end of March. Because the smaller school size is greatly valued by the St Monica’s community, there have been increased enrolments in past years, however, our enrolment numbers are fixed and cannot be extended.

A $100 Application fee per Application applies, payable when submitting an Application/s for Enrolment. Please contact the College to make payment over the phone, in person or by direct debit.

In addition to the completed online application for your child, a number of supporting documents will also be needed. Please forward copies of the following:

• Birth Certificate
• Baptismal Certificate (if baptised)
• Last two school reports and NAPLAN report(s) (as applicable)
• Any medical or learning reports

And if noted in your application:

• Legal Documentation
• Medical Action Plan
• Student Specialist Assessments

Interviews for Year 7 are conducted by members of the Leadership team and Year level leaders from early March. A letter of offer for successful applicants will be mailed out by end of May. For all other year levels, you will be contacted to arrange a suitably convenient time and date for an enrolment interview. Offers are made on a places-available basis. If your application is successful, you will receive a letter of offer within a short period of time.
